I bought this classic Audi TT 3.2 DSG in black, as a project for the "lock-down" months. It was a great base to work from - it was low mileage for it's age with some service history and in good overall condition. However, as many of you will be aware of, these engines can suffer from timing chain and dual mass flywheel issues. This car suffered with both as well as coolant leak. The usual gearbox mechatronic fault had been cured by the previous owner but he had subsequently been distracted by the purchase of a new motorbike and this car no longer fitted with his interests. In summary, I have given this car new upper and lower timing chains and guides with a new intermidate gear, new dual mass flywheel. The coolant leak has been fixed and in case of any damage to the head gasket, the cylinder head was removed, skimmed and re-fitted with a new head gasket. All the relevant bolts and gaskets have been replaced as well as a host of other items which are detailed on its service sheet. The engine, DSH gearbox, Haldex and rear diff have all been serviced. The care has been mot'ed and is in fantastic condition with all the normal weaknesses addressed - hence why I have described it as "future proofed". The dashboard pixels are all fine along with the radio and climate control pixels - other areas that can give problems. This car has not been modified and is factory standard. HPI clear.
